The presentation focused on a few episodes concerning some aspects of inter-ethnic relations and contacts between Jews and Ukrainian. Those are but episodes culled from numerous oral history Yiddish interviews (over 300) and a handful of encounters and Russian & Ukrainian interviews filmed during 12 expeditions in various regions of Ukraine in 2002-2010. Professor Dov-Ber Kerler is Alice Field Cohn Chair in Yiddish Studies, with appointments in Jewish Studies and Germanic Studies.
