Despite the recognition of Kosovo by 88 countries, including the US and 22 EU member states, the conflict between Kosovo and Serbia remains unsettled.Yet, recently and agreement was reached allowing Kosovo to be represented at regional summits and sign commercial agreements with other countries. However, the country's name must be marked by an asterisk linking it to a footnote with reference to the UN SC resolution 1244 and the ICJ opinion on the declaration of independence.
